On the Blu-ray disc website, there is an animated picture under supporters in the bottom right corner, and Universal's picture is in it.

Don't put to much stock in it. They never update their site, probably leftovers.

That is Universal Music Group not Universal Studios.

that's Universal Music Studio's...

they have been Blu for quite some time...

this isn't to be confused with Universal home video..

That is Universal Music Group. They are owned by Vivendi, which retained them and sold off 80% of the rest of Universal to NBC.

I'm surprised they didn't change the logo.

The link above is Bill Hunt's 2 cents and in it he mentions that: "And our sources are now telling us that Universal - knowing Warner was about to go Blu-exclusive - has already begin taking steps to prepare for their own future Blu-ray efforts."

They will go blu, they have to. Or risk making their profits worse? DVD sales are down, HD DVD sales will die now... they need to go blu.
