Talking Great day / did my part

Went to FNAC today (great multimedia shop in France).
1) bought Die hard 1 and 2, Curse of the golden flower
2) there were 2 guys watching HD DVDs, 2nd one said, the good movies aren't there, I told them "Do you know the news? Warner has gone Blu-ray exclusive, so HD DVD took a big hit" "and New Line went Blu too, meaning you'll never see Lotr on HD DVD ..."
3) I spoke to the sales assistant about Warner being Blu exclusive, he told me he knew it from a long time (???) and some companies were working on dual (1 side Blu, 1 side red) discs not to despoil those who bought the losing format
4) when paying, the girl at the counter asked : "they can only be read on the PS3?" 3 I answered : "they're high definition movies, they can't be read on DVD players" she said "I heard the picture quality is awesome" "yeah, bought a TV just for them"

Yesterday's news will sure change a lot of things, first being people will be less confused on the format(s).

Did my part to. Was at costco last night and a guy was looking at the hd-dvd players. Asked him if he's researched the format at all. Of course he said "yeah" Said he'd be better to spend the extra 80$ and get the blu-ray, at least you won't need to buy a new player in a little while. he said "what makes you think that." Told him Warner just switched over to Blu-Ray today and its signaling the end of the war for Hd-dvd." He didn't know the news yet, but needless to say, he didn't buy a HD-dvd player that day...

We should all go to the local stores and hand out copies of the press release, lol. Hell I might even tape one to the front of the HD DVD display

I too had to help out someone who, in my mind, was going to make a short sided decision. A friend of my wife's husband husband was heading out to Best Buy to buy an HD DVD player this weekend. I explained the formats and the studios who support what and he went blu instead. A good day...

Man, that's the saddest story I've heard in the past week. I have this picture in my mind of a sweet couple thinking they've mastered the latest high-tech thing, and they're going to be hosed (at least temporarily). It's enough to give someone nightmares.

Yesterday was a very good day, I got my Harry Potter Blu-rays all 5 from Amazon, got my label pin, and free movie, and was wearing my Blu-ray shirt, and before I even got home from my brothers Warner went Blu-ray exclusive.

can Blu-ray shirts be found on internet? (don't have them in France) would it be legal to take the Blu logo and have it printed? where to find a clean big logo?

Here's the link to the store on ebay that sells Blu-ray shirts, just type in Blu-ray in the store search box, and as far as I know these are all the places they ship to United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia. http://stores.ebay.com/PreScreened-Store

Today, I called a close friend of mine who owns a 360 to inform him to don't be swayed to buy the HD-DVD add-on if he was thinking about it or it eventually goes for cheap (go figure eventually why). Of course I informed him because of WB, but he didn't have much desire as of now to buy an HD media since he still games on an SDTV. So I told him to relay the info to his cousin.
