I've got a Panasonic DMP-BD10AK player and an older Kenwood receiver I bought back in 2000. My Kenwood has Dolby Digital 5.1 and I have an optical cable out of my player into my receiver.
When I watch some movies, my Kenwood only detects 5.1 on the previews. When the movie starts, it switches off automatically to just 3 channel stereo. Am I doing something wrong, or is it time to update my sound system? I have everything hooked up the same way my old upconverting DVD player was. I never had problems until I bought the DMP-BD10AK.
