Okay.

As if Metroid and No More Heroes wasn't enough reason to buy a Switch. Bayonetta 3 alone would justify getting a Switch. I might not get one this year but I am 100% getting one next year.

2018 is already going to be great with just these three Switch titles. I really can't wait!!!

That is pretty sweet, I'm excited for all three of them. It would be cool if there was a discount for those of us who purchased the Wii U versions of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2.

Looks like the first two have a steel book edition in Japan, maybe 3 will get one as well. And maybe they'll release these outside of Japan as well...

That steel looks great. The Switch is region free, maybe I will pick this up if there is no NA version.

If anyone knows of a great place to keep track of pre-orders (or some hidden gems you can order from) for this Japanese release please let me know...

I love it! Bayo 3 was the highlights of last night's VGA for me.

And I am excited to see that Bayo 1 & 2 are coming out for the Switch too in about 2 months.

This is the European special edition pf Bayonetta 1 + 2.

There's a Japanese edition that includes physical copies of both 1 and 2.

https://www.polygon.com/2017/12/8/16...-edition-japan

So far the only thing announced for the North American version is the Bayonetta 2 physical copy which includes a downloadable Bayonetta 1 code for $60.

So Bayonetta 1 will be download only and the second will be on disc?

Also has it been mentioned these will be remasters or rather just straight ports? Bayonetta 2 is one of my favorite games ever so I'm going to get that one regardless.

And since I don't own a Switch yet, I wonder what the chances are of a Bayonetta bundle?

At the moment it appears the North American release will be Bayonetta 2 physical, Bayonetta 1 downloadable only. If you want both physical releases you'll have to buy the Japanese release. Though one good thing is the Switch is not region locked.

True but imports are also more expensive.

If it's capable of running at 720p even undocked, why isn't there a resolution boost? Same UI scaling issue that Minecraft had?

In answering my own question, it seems it does.

Has any one played both games before and can say whether it's better to play the first game before the second one?

2nd seems (judging by reviews) that it is a better game but as I know nothing about Bayonetta, was thinking of just playing 1 then 2 mainly for the intro to the characters/story/world of Bayonetta.

it's definitely better to play the first one first

btw I personally enjoyed 1 way more than 2, but maybe because I was burned out by the time I played 2.. so maybe don't play them back to back

This is why physical is better (despite the first game being a digital code).

$80 for digital, compared to $48 for physical
