They've had it in Europe for years in PAL. Japan has a 60hz version, release in AMERICA already! The place the movie originated, was filmed, released, where the fans are.... this is crazy.

I don't know many that like this movie, but I do. I think it is a nice little slice of life film about a weatherman who really isn't happy with his life. That all changes when he meets an electronic signpost...

I'm honestly shocked it has not yet been released on Blu-ray yet. Fantastic movie. Anyone who has seen it will say the same.

I know, right? Fantastic FANTASY like movie. Just lots of good grown up fun. And SOOOO SOOO MANY lesser titles out there on Blu, in the Walmart $5 dumpster bins... but no sign of LA STORY on Blu?

Just make it one of those ONE OFF Burner deals on amazon.
Probably stuck in some legal battle over rights and ownership again...

Those "lesser" titles might've sold better originally. LA Story would NOT sell huge numbers no matter how good it is, so it's obviously not a priority in a physical media world that is making less and less profit every year. That's just reality.

It may eventually come out, but I'd expect the DVD-era master.
