Amityville Awakening was bad, but not horrible. It was no different than most studio horror films that get wide releases.
The Bye Bye Man was actually really fun. I liked that a lot. But I agree on Kidnap, Flatliners, and Rings. |

I thought that Amityville could have obviously been better, but it's not like it was some disaster. It actually had some atmosphere, and Bella Thorne was good in it.
I wonder how many of the 1,000 or so films released this year they actually saw? |

Rings was awful and boring, felt like a failed TV pilot. Amityville: The Awakening and Leatherface were watchable films but with some big flaws.

I have only seen Rings and The Bye Bye Man. I did not think either of them was terrible compared to a lot of the stuff I have seen this year.
