Historically CES's main category has been the launch of the next generation of TVs and video display technology. This year we'll see a lot of new company start-up launches, IoT product advancements and Smart home control systems and integration. However, CES will continue its well respected main focus of the advancement of TV and video display technology.
In advance of CES 2018 I thought it would be fun and interesting to discuss what we can we expect from the three premium manufacturers. Here's my thoughts and wishes for the 2018 TV line-up. LG OLED wish list:
Sony LCD/LED and OLED wish list:
Samsung QLED wish list:
For all bleeding edge display technologies, e.g. OLED, QLED and the best FALD LED displays I'd like to see the SRP launch prices to continue to move lower for the 2018 model year. CES has always been very exciting for me as it's when we get to see all of the new TVs that will be evaluated and compared butt-to-butt at my TV Shootout event. What's your thoughts for the 2018 TV market and my comments? |
