Last infos I read:

They are still working on the master and the bonus features.

I really look forward to this release and hope it's gonna be released soon.

Update:

"We plan on meeting Fabio Testi this summer, he's looking forward to it, he allegedly has never been interviewed on 'Contraband' before. Unfortunately he's very busy. We hope to finish the HD master this summer and if EVERYTHING(!) works fine release could happen Christmas/turn of the year. But therefore everything has to go smoothly."

They also mentioned a while back when they announced Confessions Of A Police Captain, that High Crime should be out at some point this year. Having Contraband and High Crime both with FilmArt’s usual quality would be unreal.

Is FilmArt pretty reliable, a la Camera Obscura, when it comes to high-quality transfers? I might be interested in starting to get stuff from them.

They are. To me on the same level as Criterion / Arrow when it comes to Genre-Cinema. I have pretty much all their Police / Gialli / Other releases. Always top-notch qualitly, extras can vary though.
