Hi all
Im from Ireland and on the irish store I can see 2 versions of each movie one version being my own copy of each with the old file sizes all of which are hd, then theres another version with the new crappy artwork but the file sizes are now larger but I cant view them as its showing me prices on these versions. they are listed as hd also not 4k but I wonder are these from new masters that will eventually add 4k to them in may? |

I have seen doubles many times over the last few years. I contacted Apple about it once and the agent assumed it must be an error. |

I did have a look at Jurassic Park on the Store and it is even stranger than you described - one of the copies has a larger HD file size but a lower SD file size. Or at least I think that is what I saw in the wee hours. Does the iTunes Store in other countries also have doubles? |

Also, as discussed in another thread, at least here in the US Apple has started making quality improvements that only benefit streaming, not the downloads. Besides supporting things like 7.1 surround, they also seem to be upping the bitrates for the streams significantly, while the downloads stay at around 5-6 Mbps. So the file sizes in iTunes aren't necessarily indicative of the streaming quality. |
