I ran into a situation a few days ago that makes me think VUDU is.
Ok, here it is. I went to Disney’s Movies Anywhere to buy the new released un-vaulted “Lady and the Tramp” and “Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp’s Adventure” in HDX. No problem with the original movie however, “Scamp’s Adventure” was only available in SD on VUDU, what? I figured, oh they’re only going to release it in SD. Well, I then come to realize Disney is allowing Amazon, Google Play & iTunes to redeem in HD. Wait a minute, why is VUDU the only streaming Co. redeeming in SD? I would like to know why? I wrote them and I’m still waiting on the answer. Now I realize a lot of older titles were only available in SD and I’m cool with that. Recently, VUDU has given members an opportunity to upgrade some of those SD only titles to HDX for an additional purchase price, I’m grateful for that option if it is desired. I’m just trying to wrap my head around why VUDU’s only redeemable option is SD for “Scamp’s Adventure”. Maybe some other members would like to weigh in on this, what do you think? |
