I know it's the site I review for, so I know it seems like a shameless plug. But honestly, just reading Dan's comments gives me an "ahh" feeling that there *ARE* resources out there who not only get this whole war-fiasco and what it was about, but are level-headed and dispassionate enough to maybe help bridge the gap with the HD DVD community. In particular, Dan's comments specific to that end are: Quote:
Check out his essay on this latest turn of events. Pay particular attention to his point about FOX and the HD DVD-spin rumors... nice to see someone else calling a spade a spade on that latest FUD spin. And, of course, thanks to Bill Hunt for being our spear-head champion voice for BD. I'm sure that Bill's efforts have helped steer us to a single-format solution more quickly than we otherwise might have had. |

Just like Bill Hunt he's been pro blu for the longest time.
Not in a biased way though, that was just their conclusion after much research. |

This is an exceptionally good read. Thanks for posting it.
I, too, am pleased to see him point out that Warner is giving a 5-month heads-up to consumers whereas Paramount pulled the plug overnight. God, I'd love to be a fly on the wall in Paramount and Universal's board rooms right now. |

Enough with this "bridging the gap" nonsense. Screw 'em. They'll all buy Blu-ray anyway.

Bias is not a bad thing, in and of itself. He isn't biased based on ulterior motives. He's biased based on reality and evidence.
