Default Just received this email from hdaddicts....

'Just a quick message to our members in regards to HD DVD and Warner. Alot of people are panicking and jumping ship due to Warners Blu-ray announcement last week. Keep in mind HD DVD still has support from Paramount, Universal, Toshiba and Microsoft. Wait for the dust to settle before making any harsh decisions. With that, and in response to numerous emails we are not currently offering refunds on unopened HD DVD product. The format has suffered a blow, but still has support and titles in 2008.'

This is a store is it's understandable that he want to continue to make good business but...

Brutal. The PR nightmare that company is about to receive will hurt them.

Are they refusing to adhere to their return policy? I am unaware of said policy so that is why I am asking, but as long as you are within the return window they would have to accept it. Assuming they have a return policy.

Stores have the right to select with products are returnable and which ones aren't. What's lame here is their reason for not accepting returns for HD-DVD products. They are basically refusing the returns because they know that they're gonna get dumped on. Also, stores need to let you know before you buy the item whether it's returnable or not... so you might have a good chance legally to return whatever it is you want to return.

Not that I have any HD-dvd's , but if I did and wished to return some un-opened items, they would better return it if they didn't want a lawsuit. That is why I love purchasing items on credit card, it gives you a 90 day window. This is going to be some bad PR. Good though, it will turn away people from this product.
