So Disney is finally getting on board with upgrading their catalogs to 4K?

There are no more Captain America, Thor and Iron Man movies on the horizon, so I'm worried as to when those movies will be upgraded to 4k as well. Judging by the fact that only the first two Avengers movies are coming out as of now, they seem to only be focusing on the movies that tie-in to their direct sequels.

There will be another Avengers film, so it will be an opportunity to release IM and Cap movies on UHD. Cuz they don't have no more Avengers films from back catalog.

Maybe Captain America with Captain Marvel?

Yeah, I know it’s a stretch.

They're doing what Paramount have been specialising in recently, just tying in the specific UHDs with a new movie. Makes sense to ride that wave, and now that Disney are FINALLY starting to dip their toes into UHD catalogue waters with the MCU and Incredibles then that can only be a good thing. The rest will follow, in time.

what worries me is the AQ, on blu-ray it's reference quality, don't know disney would author the sound to go the same path with their "quiet" trend or not... i hope not...

I’ve already accepted the audio will most likely be subpar. It’s what they do.

Thanos had to balance the regular BD with a 4K BD. About time!

And I find myself keeping that much keener an eye on those Ant-Man and the Wasp and Solo releases later in the year...
