United Kingdom Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Complete Collection (Amazon Exclusive)

Just spotted the listing on Amazon, released just a few days after the U.S. set.
Price is £73.99 at the minute but I'd expect (& hope) that'll drop.

There's also a listing for The Legend of Korra, released two weeks later and currently the same price.

Fantastic to hear that they're both getting UK releases, but like you, I expect and seriously hope those prices drop.

Price down to £60.99 now.

Considering the price on Amazon.com for the same set is $29.99, I'd hope the UK price drops a bit more.

Disappointed with the UK release. Artwork on the case is the same as on the slipcover whereas its at least different on the U.S. release. Also comes in a big old jumbo.

And I’ll be ordering that... came so near to buying the US set already but I hoped this would get a sensible price drop to something similar.

Yep... thanks, but I know, that's what I meant - I had held off until now, hoping that the UK set would get a price drop so it was more in line with the cost of the US set. Which it now is, so that's nice

It's a complete three season arc that wraps up everything by the final episode, yes.

And the Korra sequel series is great too. I didn't love it as much as Avatar, but still really enjoyed it overall. The animation is stunning. The tone is darker with more adult themes. Because Korra was only given one season initially (with fewer episodes compared to Avatar), the character work and story arc didn't have the same depth as Avatar and season 1 feels very self contained as a result. But thankfully those issues are addressed as the subsequent seasons go on. By the end, Korra had some incredibly challenging storylines and hugely rewarding character arcs. As with Avatar, Korra wraps up all story threads by the end of its series run.

I'd highly recommend both shows.

Started my rewatch today, my first impression is that this blows the DVDs away. Not the fanciest of packaging, but happy with the content

And yeah, if anyone has never seen this before and you like the look/sound of it then I also say go for it, it’s a wonderful series, and great value at the current price.

Edit: I've watched all the first 'book'/season now and the quality was great for the most part but there's the odd shot/sequence here and there where some bad jaggies (especially on the line art) show up, as if they forgot to fix them or something. And some minor shimmering of small objects every now and again. But apart from that it all look great, and is still a huge improvement on the DVDs I had.

Love this show/series so much.

Here you go, just a couple of quick smartphone pics:

(Slipcover, artcards, jumbo Amaray case with discs)
(note: Amaray case has same artwork as slipcover)
