Warner Bros The Matrix Trilogy 4K UHD (1999-2003)

The Matrix Trilogy (1999-2003) 4K Blu-ray 3 movies 2018

The Matrix Deja Vu 4 Film 4K Collection Blu-ray 4 movies 2022

Suprised to see there wasn't a thread for this one yet so figured why not make one lol I know the discussion has been ongoing in the other threads for reloaded/revolutions but figured why not give this one its own thread

Also if anyone can tell me how I can get this tagged on the blu-ray.com listing for the trilogy let me know

That's awesome... it's finally upon us!

I wonder if they're planning on doing The Animatrix in 4K?

Animatrix 4K would be great but I’m not counting on it.

$71? Not thanks. The most I would pay for this is $40. Hopefully it comes down in price significantly by the time of release.

It'll probably be $65 like the Dark Knight Trilogy, and it's that price at BestBuy right now anyway.

That's about as much as buying two of the individual copies so not too much extra if you've already bought the first and of course you can then sell that and save more.

Maybe swap in dat original rare bunny.

Hell yes to 4K.
Hell no to the box art.

Awful box art and no Animatrix... What's the appeal here?

Box art is awesome.
Don’t like the HDR sticker.

I have a 4k TV, a 4k player and about 50 4k movies and I don't know what HDR is.

Do we know officially what's in this set yet? Blu-ray.com says nine discs, so, if that's right, that should be the 3 UHD film discs, 3 film Blu-ray discs, 2 discs of The Matrix Experience (in 4K?), and 1 disc of Animatrix (in 4K?). Again, if nine discs is right, we'd at least get 3 UHDs and 6 conventional Blu-rays.

I own the 4K disc of The Matrix plus the old Ultimate Matrix Blu-ray box. I'd still probably purchase this Trilogy if its cost is roughly comparable to purchasing the single Reloaded and Revolutions 4K discs to add to my 4K Matrix.

The bonus features for all three have been separated from the Blu-rays and placed onto a new Blu-ray for each, so:

3X UHD
3X Blu-ray
3X Bonus

Have no idea what from the Matrix Experience bonus discs is included if at all, and this doesn't include The Animatrix. May need to keep those parts of the previous Ultimate Trilogy set.

Glad I held off on the buying the 4K Matrix. This should fall to around $50 like the Predator Trilogy did.

Different studio, new (maybe) Blu-rays, new bonus discs. It'll likely only go as low as The Dark Knight trilogy. $65.

Yeah, my stupid ass just got the 4K Matrix less than a week ago.

I'm giving serious consideration to re-buying The Abyss and True Lies on DVD just to see what happens.
