Oddly enough they also seem to have uploaded the full movie in 1080p. Me thinks Red Shirt Pictures has a rogue on their hands or doesn't realize that their account is public.

Sounds great, i saw this sci-fi action horror shocker in theaters when i was 5 and love the soundtrack.

One of my guilty pleasures! i cannot wait and hope it includes deleted scenes.

The unrated version would be magnificent...but it'll never happen. The rumor I heard is that Stephen King owns it but won't let anyone do anything with it. If that's true? Then that sucks.

Sincerely love this film. It's one of my personal favorites. Why?

When your plot is about 'killer machines taking over the world', then I want you to have fun with it. And this flick did (and then some).

Fantastic soundtrack by AC/DC, a cast I enjoy which includes folks like Emilio Estevez and blue collar characters (which I appreciate/enjoy those types), Bazooka-Fu, red 'splats' when folks get hit by trucks, arcade electrocutions, bank signs telling folks '**** you', a Green Goblin Semi Truck, Machine Gun-Fu, explosions...just Pure R-Rated Fun.

I miss films like this.

While I echo your sentiment, the fact is King refuses to do interviews. He wouldn't even participate in reflecting on Creepshow, a film he made with his dear pal George Romero and by all accounts was a smooth production.

Also his being coked out and admitting he has little-to-no memory of making Maximum Overdrive helps. Just unearth the infamous X-rated cut, and I'm content.

On Facebook someone had a video of a remote control model of the Happy Toyz truck. Working lights & sounds.

Even if it's a short video I wouldn't mind a few minute video of the restored Green Goblin head that has been going to shows.
