Default Museo (Alonso Ruizpalacios, 2018)

Winner Best Screenplay - Berlin Film Festival
Nominee Best Film - Berlin Film Festival

Hitchcock, Looney Tunes, Rififi and Bresson. Ruizpalacios pulls it off with a joyfull sureness.
,- Variety

Grippingly tense.
,- The Guardian

Confirms Ruizpalacios' status as the next big thing in Mexican cinema.
,- The Playlist

Has the mark of a true orginal.
,- ScreenDaily

A Once-in-a-history robbery resonates across cultures and eras.
In facts and in fiction, Museo is smart and loving.

Really loved this movie, got myself the Kino Lorber Blu-ray.

Really would've liked a little more supplements, but the booklet with the essay is pretty good, even if it comes off as a little bit of a puff piece. PQ is quite crisp as well.

A lot of people praise Criterion for getting physical rights to release several Netflix original films, but Kino Lorber decided to strike a deal for this Youtube Original movie which seems equally as impressive to me.
