Got my new remote today from the deal posted a few days back. This thing is awesome. Took a total of 20-30mins from updating software and firmware to programming all the components I had. Everything works and I don't need any other remotes. If you want to get rid of the 30 remotes you own, this is the remote. Just thought I'd give a small review on it.
Ease of Use - 4/5 ( 4 because if you aren't tech saavy you might have problems) Function - 5/5 Quality - 5/5 |

The 880 is not bad but I am still looking for something with more features and better build quality (already returned mine twice because it broke). But as a cheap universal remote to replace your other remotes it does its job. Last edited by Redrox; 01-09-2008 at 09:08 PM. |

Now, I have my Harmony 890 running the PS3 via IR or RF.
![]() Actually, The Nyko Bluwave Remote can be used for the PS3. about $14 at Amazon. It is an IR Remote that uses a USB Dongle to plug into the PS3. You guys that have a PS3, and a Harmony. Grab The NYKO off of Amazon too. Then when you setup your Harmony, Choose add device, Nyko as Mfg., then Bluwave as model. If you have the 890 Like I do, Tape an RF Extender to the end of the USB Dongle on the PS3, and you now have RF Control with your Harmony 890 for the PS3. 880 Guys and gals, just point. ![]() All the L, 1,2,3,R,1,2,3, chapter, next, tri, sq, cir, stop, x, start, chapter, ff, rew, menu, display, info, etc... All the good ones. there is a Picture on Amazon. Amazon Link |

I love mine, just picked it up yesterday.
I walked into Best Buy, sales person comes over: BB - "Do you need any help?" Me - "I want the cheapest remote you got, with the color LCD screen." BB - "How about the Harmony 880?" Me - "Score..." I don't know why... But the color screen was a big selling point for me. ![]() |

Right now, the Nyko remote with adapter is just $13 through Amazon. If Logitech ever released an adapter for this, it will probably be more expensive than Nyko's adapter and remote. I have also heard that the IR adapter from the PS2 DVD remove model will work, but I haven't tried it. If you have a PS2 remote with a USB IR adapter, try that adapter with the Harmony remote before ordering the Nyko setup. Using the Nyko adapter I'm finally back down to using just one awesome remote. Good luck. |

I got the Nyko.
I don't own an 880, though--just the 520. And it wasn't a planned purchase. One of my beautiful wonderful brilliant children (the 20-month-old) made the TV remote disappear. 4 1/2 hours' searching turned up nothing; by that time it was 9:30 pm, the kids were in bed, and the wife & I had really been looking forward to watching a movie, so off I went to Wal-Mart...and the Harmony was the only thing I could find on the shelf I felt sure would be capable of toggling the TV picture between 4:3 and 16:9. Hated to spend the money at the time for basically a single function, but I felt much better about it when the TV remote was discovered broken the next day. After that purchase, dropping another 13-14 bucks on the Nyko seemed like a no-brainer. It's nice to be down to a single remote again...provided I can keep it out of little inquisitive hands. Another nice thing about the Harmony is that it will run my iPod, which is docked into my receiver. I know I could load up the PS3's drive with tunes, but there's a lot of stuff I have ripped to Apple Lossless files which the PS3 won't play and which I don't want to have to re-encode... |
