Ps3 Owners Do Buy Blu Movies - Blu-ray Forum

Why does it seem to me that a lot of people feel that ps3 owners don't buy blu ray movies.Some people seem to think we just rent movies and don't buy them.I personally buy atleast 8 blu movies a month.So please give us ps3 owners a break.

I may not buy 8/month like you, 1-2/month for me or if there is a Blu-ray movie I really like that is not on my SD DVD collection, then I'll buy it. So yes I do Blu.

I don't buy Blu just for the sake of buying Blu, but if it's a movie I want to buy and it's out on Blu, then that's what I'm getting. Almost ashamed to admit it, but I don't even have an HDTV yet... But I still enjoy my Blu's. I am in love with Un-compressed PCM!

Watch when you get an HDTV, then you'll be in love with Blu even more.

for me, it's actually the other way around... I don't buy blus because I have a PS3, I bought a PS3 coz I wanted to watch my Blus... and yes, I buy Blus.

same here! but I also wanted DMC 4 and Uncharted and Resistance.

Yep, same for me. I bought a PS3 to watch movies on Blu-ray; games are secondary. (Of course, it doesn't hurt that the PS3 can do a zillion other things (music, video, photos, even Folding@Home!)).

I've heard this a lot as well. I've had a PS3 for about 6 months and have 5games and about twenty Blu-ray movies atm.

I bought 3 PS3's for my home because it is an awesome Blu-ray player. I have around 150 Blu-ray movies, and 3 PS3 games. Does that tell you anything?

I got the PS3 40gig mainly just to play Blu-Ray movies. I think it's a bonus that I get the Games!

i bought my PS3 along with 6 others to sell on eBay at launch

by the time I was done, they weren't selling so I kept one not caring much

now I can't stop watching blu-ray movies and playing Rockband

I'm not buying it. I believe that Ken guy. All his predictions and analysis has been dead on. Studio expansion, more CES making players, 4 million standalones sold by end of 2007, and gamers don't buy movies.

How can there be any doubt?

Sometimes I feel they don't count us because we don't have a stand alone player.But I'm willing to bet there a probably more people with a ps3 buying movies than the other way around.

Long time lurker/reader, registered months ago. First time poster. I have a PS3 and over 50 Blu movies, and 11 PS3 titles. After viewing my first blu movie, I could never go back to a normal dvd again.
