A miniseries is exactly what the Blade Runner future needs, but this article is just... I mean, every idea tries to get a movie and/or a tv deal, so I have no doubt that producers want such a deal. But that's a far cry from finding the right people who want to do it.

Blade Runner The Final Cut is my favorite film of all time but I have soured quite a bit on BR2049. The fact that Ridley Scott is wanting to direct this and that he hasn't done anything interesting in over 20 years gives me pause.

At least the year (2099) and big name actors' aversion to television/streaming series would prevent any of the types of character returns that hurt 2049. The movie would have been better without Deckard.
