I'm seeing Halloween (2018) at 7:30 tonight, and I'm nearly pulling my hair out. I've been ticking off the days since last Oct.

I'm going tonight as well starting at 7:00 PM; can't wait. I like the idea of the other movies being wiped-out except #2; it was a legit sequel. Reviews look good, so that is a good indication.

2 was also 'wiped out'. This is a direct sequel to the original. She's not his sister and there's no reason for all the killings in the original like the sequels tried to explain.

Unless you meant that you like 2 and wish it wasn't wiped out. Hard to tell by how you worded it..

So, the sequence is now...

Halloween

Halloween?

I can't wait until Halloween comes out and the trilogy is complete!

You got it. Halloween, and then Halloween, and then if this does well..Halloween. Hopefully they don't take it as far as adding in Halloween or Halloween though..

I said it too many times. Now it looks/sounds weird.

I'm pretty sure they actually ignored part II. This is supposed to be a direct sequel to the original. I'm totally down for that though. Not that I'll ever shun the sequels, but I can accept the first one and the new one as it's own thing. But, I can also treat the sequels as their own as well. I can dig two separate timelines.

I enjoyed the first Rob Zombie Halloween film. But, the second one is an absolute trainwreck of a film. Weird they even made that sequel with how the first one ended.

I'm going to see this on Tuesday, the 23rd. My cousin, his son, my GF and I are all going as a group and bought our tickets all in a row right in the middle of a nice theater. I absolutely LOVE the Halloween franchise and am SUPER hyped about this.

I'm hoping it's as good as I am expecting. I am currently watching through all of the older movies to help me stay calm until Tuesday. LOL!

From this point forward we are changing the series:

1978 will now been retroactively called Haloween
2018 will remain Halloween
The next sequel will be Hallloween
then we have Halllloween (subtitled H4lloween)
then Hallllloween
Then we reboot again.

Yeah, I know they ignored it, but being that it was written by Carpenter and Hill and it continues that same story, it would have been cool to keep it: Halloween, Halloween 2, and Halloween.

Carpenter wrote that film for the money though and really struggled to tell a new angle on the story that was worth telling. He himself isn’t a fan of Halloween II from what I recall.

8PM screening tonight (7 was in an rpx which I don't care for) I'm nervously jittering at work, looking at the clock every few minutes

This will be my first Dolby movie locally. My local AMC just finished construction about two weeks ago. I haven't been inside yet so I wasn't sure where the 'good seats' were. Just in case, I bought six in a row and will return the four I don't want before it starts.
