The Sherlock Holmes series starring Jeremy Brett was filmed on 16mm. Only one of the feature-length episodes, "The Sign of Four," was shot on 35mm. The first time I saw it I couldn't figure out why it looked so different and film-like compared to the other episodes, then discovered it was because the rest of the show was filmed on 16.
