So I thought we could do something a little different this time and show some "appreciation" for what we feel are the worst new entries to our movie series throughout the years. We all like to deride our least favorites or what we feel are the most disappointing compared to the films that we love here. So let's rank em!



What qualifies: The film must be a sequel, prequel, reboot or remake to another film in a film series. The film does not necessarily have be less successful critically or financially than the previous.

Obviously, there will be varying opinions. I prefer to list those that disappointed me the most based on expectations given from a solid entry in the series (Ex. Halloween 5 based on Halloween 4). Some may list films such as Fantastic Four from 2015, but is this really a disappointment based on Fantastic Four from 2005? However, it is still a terrible reboot.

#2 45 points
#3 40 points
#4 35 points
#5 30 points
#6 25 points
#7 20 points
#8 through #25 19 to 2 points in descending order


#1 will be your worst of all time and on down.

I will take lists with at least 10 votes, but feel free to list up to 25. What will end up the worst of all time? Voting ends on March 1!

There are a lot of "bad" films that I just haven't seen, or haven't seen in so long that I don't think it's fair to judge them as such. For example I haven't seen RoboCop 3 since I was around 10, and I remember jackshit of it. I know it's considered a bad film, but it's hard for me to put it on my list since it's been 20 years since I've seen it.

What about movies that might not necessarily be sequels, but are part of a larger cinematic universe? For example, Suicide Squad. It's not a sequel or a reboot/remake, but it does feature characters from, and makes references to, other movies in the DCEU. It is also absolute garbage.

EDIT: does 500 Days of Summer count as a remake of Annie Hall?

Unfortunately, it would not be counted. I understand your position though. It seems as if none of the DCEU are sequels to one another but deserve to be on this list somehow lol. However, Man of Steel is a reboot of Superman.
