Default How high is your cinema ceiling?

Most disturbing movie you have ever seen? I will start. To date the most messed up film I have ever seen is A Serbian Film. Martyrs (original) and The Burning Moon are up there well.

Probably Cannibal Holocaust was the most disturbing movie I've seen.

Cannibal Holicaust when I was young... But now the movie is not really disturbing anymore. I saw it 3-4 times, that's probably why. Never saw A Serbian Film, I should try to find it!

I can't take a lot of gore so I have stayed away from these along with Audition and The Human Centipede and most zombie movies based on reputation alone.

As far as disturbing movies that I have actually seen I would have to say Se7en bothered me more than any movie. It was more of being creeped out than being made sick. Also the Evil Dead remake made me almost vomit in the theater in certain scenes. It is funny though but I can watch all of the Ash Vs Evil Dead episodes and be fine with the gore. Perhaps Bruce Campbell being a jack ass in the same scene makes it easier.

Before I opened the thread I thought that we had finally reached the limit of discussion if it had come to asking how many feet tall your movie theater is.

Fairly low. I’m not too squeamish about obviously fake or stylized gore, but real deal extreme cinema is way more than I can stomach.

The most disturbing movie I've seen is The Hurt Locker. It's an excellent film that I've only watched once. It's doubtful that I'll ever watch it again.

Weird that, it's a brilliant film (Renner nails it), but it's one of those films that's a one-time watch.
