Default "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"

Fox premieres "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", a spin-off the the "Terminator" movie franchise, this Sunday, January 13 at 8/7pm c and Monday, January 14 at 9/8pm c.

Quote:
"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" represents an exciting reinvention of the "Terminator" franchise, in which the strong and intrepid Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) discovers that protecting her 15-year-old son, John (Thomas Dekker), and stopping the rise of the machines is more difficult than she had ever imagined. Sarah and John are joined by Cameron (Summer Glau), an enigmatic and otherworldly high school student, who proves to be much more than a friend and James Ellison (Richard T. Jones) an FBI agent hot on their trail who soon becomes a powerful ally.

We shall see if the general TV audience catches onto it.

I'm excited for this, can't wait for tomorrow.

Whatever happens with the next Terminator movie with Christian Bale as the grown up John Connor?

Here's a rundown of pretty much every critics' opinion on the first two episodes (some like it, some don't etc.).

I'm not quite sure what this is supposed to mean? Is it alluding to the fact that the series completely bastardizes the chronology established by the 3 films? Or are you insinuating that we don't realize a show about a cyborg robot killer is science fiction and not real?

I have to agree.

And of course there has to a be a good looking female terminator to attract the same types that watch Heroes.

I'll watch it tonight, but it will probably be the last time I watch it.

Saw the pilot back in the fall...kinda sucked.

Still, I'll give it a second episode (I always do for shows I'm even remotely interested in). It's not fair to completely write off a show based on its pilot.

Though I probably could've gotten away with that in regards to The Bionic Woman.

Default The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Did anyone else just watch this? I caught it online during an early premiere, and just watched it again. I've always been a huge Terminator fan, so I was a bit skeptical at first, but I think it was actually alright. It was definitely a better continuation than Terminator 3.

Unfortunately, I don't think the show is going to be a big hit, and though I might be wrong, I'm pretty sure it's going to get canceled soon. I was just thinking that it'll eventually be a sweet release on Blu-ray. I'm hoping that they release the entire series (which will probably be just a season) with all the un-aired episodes, like they did with Firefly.

Anyone else think this show will ever make it to BD?

It was decent enough, but considering the few TV shows on Blu I doubt it will at least for a looong time

I highly preferred T3.

So this female Terminator is more advanced than the TX. She makes different facial expressions and eats Doritos?

Who wants to bet John will be knockin' boots with a robot before it's all over?

I was hesitant at first, but i was pleasantly suprised at how good it was. Once you get through the first 30 minutes it picks up quite a bit. I already se tup my DVR to record the series.

The one benefit of the writer's strike

They actually have to let the shows mature and build an audience

I mean, it wasn't great but the CG in T3 looked a lot like crappy tv-quality visuals to me anyway. At least they bring up things like Miles Dyson and Cyberdyne.

And yeah, I bet he will at least fall in love with the Terminator, if not bang her.

Since she eats food and can act like a flirtatious teenage girl, maybe she can have sex too. It'd be funny, at the least.
