Yeah saw the commercial in the Dallas Ny York Game. It was a great commercial for blu-ray. Great exposure since it was shown in the second quarter of that game. 99% of New York and Texas is watching Nice to notice Walmart at the end.

Kinda noticed in the past year that HD-DVD doesn't advertise that much but whats the point when you're a dying format

The HD DVD Promotional Group has not even showd their face since prior to CES. A brief statement by Ken G ( I am showing restraint when I post his name) and that has been it for HD DVD. No new player announcements, no new developments, no new advertising, nada. Sounds great to me.

Lol, sorry to burst your bubble, but I've seen that ad for at least a month if not more in the U.S., especially on HD networks. . . but nonetheless it's good to see Blu on prime time TV! Good game so far, Dallas better win, lOl!

Yeah, the commercial has been on before, but the walmart thing at the end makes it look cheap. If it were best buy or circuit city, it wouldn't have been so bad. How can I take any Walmart commercial serious?

I think it's generally a good thing for that Wal-Mart tag to be on the end of that Blu-Ray commercial. It shows that Wal-Mart is taking the side of Blu-Ray (along with many other major retailers like Best Buy, Target, etc.).

I have a feeling that the noise and actual policy decisions major retailers and retailer associations have been making (mostly behind the scenes) was a deciding factor in Warner Bros. going Blu. There won't be any point of studios like Universal and Paramount to continue supporting HD-DVD if stores like Wal-Mart are going to stop stocking movies in those formats.

I just saw a commercial for an HD-DVD player.

I swear to god it showed the potential uses for one:

1} Upscale DVD's.
2} Doorstop
3} use it to prop up a table when it's uneven
4} Cat litter box.

Now if any of you guys who're useful at photoshop can whip me up some pictures of this it'd be awesome! *LOL*

True enough. Has anyone seen the ad about this couple that bought everything for their wedding from Walmart? Including the rings, gown and tux.

Obviously Walmart has a market since they sell those things, but I don't know of anyone who would want to go on national television and broadcast their Walmart Wedding. Maybe it's just me...

I have also seen the commercial in the HD channels, but that pales in comparison with it being shown in the Dallas vs New York game. This "war" has turned into such a geek. The Walmart part at the end was not "very visual" But mainstream Amaerica shops at Wal-Mart so it is important to be emphasized.

I just saw it today. I've seen the commercial before, but not with the Wal-Mart bit. I gotta say, after all the junk form the red fanboys saying "Wal-Mart's HDDVD exclusive and gonna win it for us", seeing that commercial was just too funny.
