I am just a bit curious to see if there is any other employees of movie theatres here other than the handful I have run in to on the forum. See poll above...

My first fulltime job was at a movie theatre, Sony Lincoln Square in NYC. It was an awesome experience. One of the best theatres in NY (at that time), huge screens and of course their 3D Imax theatre. But the most fun came when we hosted movie premieres. The one I remember the most was for Boogie Nights. I was standing in the back of the auditorium when that famous last scene came up. "I am a star, I am a star, I am a star."

The celebs went nuts.

If you are just out of high school, or in college, it is a great place to work especially if you actually love movies more than the average person.

Oh yeah, you can actually see me working my job in the movie You've Got Mail. They shot a scene there and I was the only 'actual' employee that got to be in it.
