Re-watched this recently and while there's definite problems with the third act, I still think it's a great film.

If they took away
[Show spoiler]the Blofeld as Bond's brother and Spectre organising everything that happened
in the previous three movies silliness, it would be first rate 007. As it is I still enjoy it a great deal.

Yeah I rewatched this last Tuesday. First James Bond I’ve watched on my 4k set up, no reason to wait I’d just re-went through the set a couple months before upgrading.

It looked awesome, especially the outside night scenes and car chases, I find these BD scenes look just so real upscaled.

I’d read reviews before upgrading yet again, although I’d have no issues doing so, but I’d want the complete set ideally.

It will look great in 4K but the movie itself won't be a improvement sadly.

That piss yellow filter over the entire movie will be burnt into peoples eyes forever.
Bet the OLED owners will be happy to be saved that pain.

I liked the colour temperature quite a bit.

Not sure I understand the OLED reference?

It's like you told a four year old how to colour time a movie down a bad phone line and then asked them to tell a grown up.

It's pretty stunningly awful, and you picked a really good image to illustrate that. But I think the 4 year old was peeking into his parents' living room and watching TRAFFIC while you were on the phone, because I don't think a kid could misunderstand stuff this badly without a visual guide to help fuel his misinterpretation.

Then again, SPECTRE and SKYFALL are the only two Bonds I don't own in any form, and despite Deakins and how he shot that skyscraper fight (which is ruined dramatically with music when they should have just been using wind effects and footsteps), I don't intend to ever own either.

Not a fan of that piss yellow filter for sure. In any case it was very much intentional. I'm just hoping it will be given some room to breath with HDR grading.

Nice to see this coming to 4K! I haven't seen a pre-order pop up yet though.
