Default Rank your fave Mad Max rip-offs

There's nothing like the 4 Mad Max films. Some movies tried to capture a molecula of that magic. That's my list.

1- Waterworld (1995)
2- The Salute of the Jugger/The Blood of Heroes (1989)
3- Battletruck/Warlords of the 21st Century (1982)
4- The Book of Eli (2010)
5- Steel Dawn (1987)
6- Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)
7- The Postman (1997)
8- Doomsday (2008)
9- Fist of the North Star (1995)
10- World Gone Wild (1988)

I don't consider Salute of the Jugger to be a Mad Max rip-off. It's a Rollerball rip-off.

Everyone here, just stop!

You all forgot that Hugh Keays-Byrne also played a third post-apocalyptic world villain:

Lord Vile in The Blood of Heroes aka The Salute of the Jugger (1989).

But when you think about it, Logan is very similar to Beyond Thunderdome.

All of those movies have entirely different genres and storylines, that has no similarities to Mad Max.

Think he means post apocalyptic. Not just high speed cars in a post apocalyptic setting maybe.

Not true. Different storylines, not different genre. Rip-off movies usually get different storylines from the movies they took inspiration from.

That said, Waterworld was almost a remake (on water) of Thunderdome, there were many elements in common.

Battle Angel Alita, which only counts because of that one chapter.
