Default The Omen Collection (1976-2006) (Deluxe Edition)

The Omen Collection (Deluxe Edition)

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT**

You may want to say your prayers after this news: THE OMEN BLU-RAY COLLECTION (DELUXE EDITION) is rising on Oct 15th and just in time before Halloween!

Housed in new collectible rigid slipcover case and packed with hours of chilling special features, this 5-disc set includes 1976’s masterpiece film The Omen (4K remaster of the film from the original negative by 20th Century-Fox); 1978’s Damien: Omen II, 1981’s The Final Conflict, 1991’s Omen IV: The Awakening (making its Blu-ray debut) and the 2006 remake of the original The Omen. The franchise stars Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, William Holden, Lee Grant, Rossano Brazzi, Sam Neill, Mia Farrow, Liev Schreiber and more.

Each film inside the slipcover packaging will receive a dedicated blu-ray case featuring original theatrical artwork. (Similar to how we presented the Critters box-set last year).

Only 10,000 units of the set are being made.

New & existing extras from prior home entertainment releases are in progress and will be announced in full on a later date. However, we can confirm today that we are including archival advertising material (trailers, radio & TV spots) that were not on the prior releases and new interviews with David Seltzer, Holly Palance, Lee Grant, Robert Foxworth, Elizabeth Shepherd and Brain Taggart.

Special Website Offer: If you order directly from us @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=7198 we are offering an exclusive gift-with-purchase where you will also receive a free 28.5" X 16.5" rolled lithograph of the new artwork, along with your set. The lithos themselves are only being made at limited quantity of 666.

Definitely getting it. I'm a sucker for the original 4 movies (could do without the remake)

Aside from the remake, I'm not sure if I've ever seen any of the Omen sequels.

I know I'm in the minority but I really enjoy the remake.

Julia Styles is a little bit of a weak link but the rest of the casting is spot on (and Mia Farrow was a master stroke). The performances are great, the kills are interesting without being self-consciously over the top, they do a great job establishing mood and the sound design is fantastic.

Not sure I can justify double-dipping on these but that limited edition lithograph offer is making it a lot more tempting.

I've got the UK set with The Omen, Damien: Omen II, and The Final Conflict, but it appears that Scream will being better transfers to the table with more extras. Count me in!

It seems only the first film has a new transfer.

Really wish the original was sold separately. The sequels are all awful IMO.

I own the original set and may be among the few who's thankful the godawful made-for-TV OMEN IV: THE AWAKENING was not included in it...gotta love how that announcement mentions the packaging in such a way as if to say "This is not that oversized cheap cardboard disaster Fox housed the first collection in!"

I ordered the flimsy Fox set because it was cheaper than ordering the original separately (the sequels and remake do nothing for me). The box (no surprise) arrived crushed. I told the seller but asked for nothing. They gave me a full refund and let me keep the damaged set. Discs were fine.

This new set looks MUCH sturdier.

Disappointing. Wish they had decided to stick with the old Fox packaging. Can't improve on perfection.

Fox's 4K restoration for the first movie should have been issued on UHD, but at least it's on Vudu as such ... decisions, decision. 2 was okay, but it was the elevator death that was wild (and loud) and that drowning scene was pretty harrowing.

I was thinking the same thing, imagine we'll definitely get some October steels for some of their bigger past titles. Halloween 2 and 3 steels were October releases last year.

I've always rather enjoyed these films, although I've never seen the TV -Part 4 one.

I've only seen the remake once, and it wasn't terrible, but like most 'reboots', it just felt unnecessary to me, personally.

I have always enjoyed the first three. Again, just personally, but I'm not sure why so many people don't seem to care for the third one (with Sam Neill). I really like it, myself. I remember for the time it was considered quite strong for a studio film in the violence department.

Anyway, I'll likely pick up this set. I, like many others, have the crushed Fox set, but will happily upgrade.

I JUST got in the Umbrella "The Blob" recently, and I have a DVD of "The Devil Rides Out", so I'm not sure about getting those two, yet.

But, I definitely am getting "Private School" and this set for October.

I love this series and have a truckload of nostalgia for it. Growing up (mid 90's for these films) I remember watching the first two films in my parents basement with the fireplace going in/around November over a number of years. It's one of my weird/fun memories of watching horror films with/around my parents growing up and it's caused my to appreciate these films on a whole different level.

I'm easily on board with this set... now the decision is do I throw down on the Shout factory pre-order or wait for Amazon in order to use some giftcards.

The sequels are indeed terrible (well, #2 is kinda sorta okay), and the remake is whatever.

But I might be in for this, because I'm honestly a sucker for special features about bad movies.

(And that box artwork is very nice.)
