It wouldn't be the first time Cinedigm made that happen. The only problem is the various cuts and edits 4Kids made back in the day.

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie was shown 1st in America and Japan Extended the movie longer. It’s actually more of an American movie since 4Kids did most of the work on the movie and Japan mostly just Animated it and just made sure that it was worth doing. Kind of like when Toei used to work on all of the Hasbro series and movies except those would be American series Animated in Japan while this is a Japanese Series Animated in Japan with a strong Assistance by America.

Mmmm not necessarily. 4kids got the ball rolling but it was ultimately produced by Konami, NAS, Shueisha, and TV Tokyo. 4kids didn't even screenwrite it, much less have any direction outside of their own dub. They got the ball rolling and are the reason it happened yet still had all their own bit of work done to it like removal of around 10 minutes of footage, not to mention music edits. Despite being released first the movie that got made first is what aired in Japan months after our theatrical premiere.

Basically they put the order in and what they got, still tweaked because that was their MO back in the day. lmao

"Find out only in theaters August 2004"

Did they just copy and paste the poster and didn't bother to get rid of that?

It's pretty impressive the amount of clout 4Kids had at the time.. They even had a 12 episode spin-off for Yu-Gi-Oh! made.

And yet they have been Bankrupt multiple times, not giving Yu-Gi-Oh!’s Production companies Royalties and almost causing Yu-Gi-Oh! to not be in America up until Konami took over 4Kids.

What's pretty scary, is that after all these years, it's STILL the #4 highest grossing anime movie released in the USA.
To be fair, it got passed up for the #3 rank by the recent Dragon Ball Super Brolly movie.
Of course Pokemon The Movie & Pokemon The Movie 2000 are STILL #1 & #2...

The cover updated on Amazon and no longer has the 2004 theater advertisement.

Well Rightstuf said FLCL Progressive was Dub-only and DVD-only but that may no longer be the case for at least the Dub-only part.
