And so the FUD continues. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the reason people bought into HD media (and Blu-ray in particular obviously) was to watch films in hi-def, not because you can ( or can not) get fancy new features. Personally I don't care about the PIP stuff or BD-Live when that happens. I've never listened to a director's commentary on any of my DVD's so can't see me bothering with PIP. And am really not interested in downloading a ringtone or ordering the latest film related merchandise. So for me as long as the film still plays profile 1.0 players are just fine.

exactly. thank you.

i've never watched, nor cared to watch the director talk about the film while the film was playing or even on a separate disc for that matter.

i buy movies to watch and enjoy THE MOVIE. Not to play some lame online alien vs predator game over blu ray players. haha

but whatevs, i'm not here to harp on what other people may find fascinating and valuable when purchasing and watching a movie. so if that stuff gets your motor running, by all means. but for me, i'll stick with watching and enjoying the movie and its PQ and SQ. that's gonna do it for me
