is any one else having this problem..... i have the BD-P1000 and it is up to date but i am having playback issues.

Nope. Mine plays fine on a Sony S300 (Firmware 3.70). It does, however, required a long pre-load time probably due to the Profile 1.1 features encoded on the disc (which the S300 cannot display due to it having profile 1.0).

So far, every Blu-Ray disc has played fine on the Sony S300. The player did freeze up on two standard DVDs. I had to restart the player each time. They were rare isolated incidents.

Perhaps your copy of Sunshine is defective. I recommend getting a replacement disc. Good luck.

I have a BD-P1400 and it wouldnt load the first time I put it in. I pulled the disc back out and there were a bunch of fingerprints on it. So after I wiped the fingerprints off, the movie played without any problems. You have probably already tried that I'm sure, but that is the only thing I have had to do for playback issues.

I have a PS3 and it had a problem with fast forwarding. It would just stop if i skipped a chapter or went faster than 1.5 . also the sound was all like "GRRRRGRGKKKKGRRRRGRGURGLRGGGRRKKKSSSKGRGRG" when ever the ship flew past. annyoing. Movie was amazing though!

I also have a PlayStation 3 and have had no playback issues with Sunshine.

It's pretty well established by now that all Samsung players, especially the 1000 are likely to choke on every new trick that comes down the pipe, and that Samsung will take 2-4 weeks to fix it

Sorry, I have a PS3 and no issues with loading or playback. You may want to double check you last update though. Usually that is the issue most of the time.

I stated above that it was fine on my samsung. I have the 1400 and havent had a problem with any movies, I just do the firmware update as soon as its released.

My problem is not with playback per se. I'm having a issue with the Journey into Sound feature. I have a 5.1 system but when I activate this feature on my v 2.10 PS3 I can only chose the front three channels to move the sound around on.

I watched “Sunshine” in its entirety last night using a Panny BD30. During playback I received approximately 3 audio drops (DTS-HD MA) and 2 slight pauses in video toward the middle of the film and a couple at the end. Has anyone has issues like this? I haven't had any problems with my Panny until now.
