Disney List of Walt Disney Animation Studios Films on 4K UHD

Upon recent announcement of upcoming releases of the Revival films, I open this thread in order to discuss Disney animation on 4K (and in order to not spam the standard Blu-ray thread or the Pixar thread).

Releases:

Related Films:

Available on digital but not on disc:
The Sword in the Stone
The Black Cauldron

I was literally just thinking there should be a new thread for all these Disney movies coming out (like with the Pixar and Marvel releases). Thanks for making this.

I’m hoping by the time these “Revival” ones come out, there will be a nice deal going on on the DMC, because between the last few MCU movies, Aladdin, the Pixar movies, and now the Revival ones, there’s a LOT coming out that I want, and I’ll just do one big order.

I don't know how to edit the title. I thought that people were familiar with WDAS = Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Good idea for a thread. Hope we get most of these eventually. I'm sure there are a few we never will.

I certainly dont mind getting the newer films in 4k, but I do hope we eventually get the OG classics in 4K too, even though so far that doesnt seem to be the case despite numerous opportunities. Disney seems the only be doing films that are partly or all in the digital era wth Little Mermaid being the least digital of them all.

I mean if nothing else I would want Dumbo, Bambi, Sleeping Beauty and Lady&Tramp.

Can we get the Pixar thread and this thread combined? Since Disney owns Pixar, they are the same company. One thread to list them all. Or is that as complicated as sharing Spider man between Sony and Disney?

I sense a trend here. My hopes for awesome 4k restorations of the classics on UHD disc are dwindling weekly.

Damn Disney+!!

By that logic we should have Disney/Pixar/Marvel/Star Wars/Fox/Touchstone/Whatever else Disney owns I forgot in one huge mega thread, which wouldn't make sense.

Definitely more interested in older ones. Snow White, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi etc. Renaissance and newer, not so much, but I'm keen on Aladdin next month if I can fit it in. Next two months are pretty packed.

Still wouldn't include Dinosaur - it's neither hand drawn nor completely CG.

I wonder if they'll release Winnie The Pooh (2011) on 4K

I was referring to just the animated movies.

It's still officially a Walt Disney Animation Studios film despite the division being closed.

What's a revival film? You mean the Lasseter films, in which case you start with Meet the Robinsons.
