Blu-ray Archduke

Obviously, I'm not expecting concrete answers, but was wondering if anyone had a ballpark idea of how much it costs to license a film/produce the discs or any good guesses? There are a ton of variables that I'm not taking into consideration, so again just wanted to hear some ideas/thoughts.
Lots of times films are bundled in package deals, but I've always wondered how much does it actually cost to license a film from the 1940's through say the 1970's? I'm not talking about films with huge followings either like Dawn of the Dead. Also, studios need normally have to produce at least 1000 copies in order for the disc to be pressed? Does anyone know how much something like that would cost? I'm just really curious as it seems like a lot of users seem to understand the business side of things, and just wondering what information is out there in terms of how much it actually costs to get these films on Blu-ray to us. |
