Default What are your thoughts on The Shining (1980)?

In my opinion, every part of The Shining is just about excellent. From the locations, to the cinematography, to the music, to the actors. It is unique, and there's no other film like it.

My favorite parts of the movie, are the ghost scenes, particularly of Lloyd and Delbert Grady. I love the scene where Jack starts hearing music playing in a part of the hotel, then he walks into the ballroom and it's like a former time, and he runs into the ghost of Delbert Grady. That could be the very best scene in the movie.

One of the best parts of the movie is actor Scatman Crothers, the likable cook of the hotel, who had psychic ability. Another amazing scene is the room 237 scene, featuring the ghost in the bathroom. The maze scene is another.

It's hard to dislike The Shining. The amazing locations, cinematography, and actors are unique and excellent. The theme song is one of the best in horror movies. There will never be another movie like it, it is too unique in just about every way.

What are your thoughts on The Shining (1980)?
