Default TV flickering on and off: Player, TV, or Cable?

Hello,
This technically isn't really a Blu-ray player question but I wanted to throw this in here:

When I have my Panasonic UB820 connected to my Samsung 43" 4K TV, there have been times where I am watching something and the TV screen will go blank for a second or two, and then resume again.

I don't think this is a player issue since playback continues as this goes on, so I don't know whether this is a TV or HDMI issue. The HDMI cable I have connected I have had for years and years, so I have a feeling that may be it since it's not really a 4K cable. I do not know either though if it is the TV.

I did have this problem previously with my Sony BDP S6700, but this only happened when the HDMI cable was connected to a splitter. Once I connected it to an input on the TV, it stopped. But this cable connected to the Panasonic player is in the TV.

Any solutions is appreciated. Thank you!
