Default Two types of Blu-ray cases

This has been bugging me for a while, and I can't find any other posts about it. Perhaps this ranks amoungst the least important issues, which is why nobody's mentioned it (or I just suck at searching for posts)

I don't like those 10mm-thick Blu-ray cases, because they don't match the rest of my 14mm-thick cases. (Measurements according to MY ruler and eye, might be out by 1mm or so, but never mind)

My Blu-ray collection is quite small at them moment compaired to many of the people here, I have 15 discs... 3 of which are 10mm thick with a 'clasp' (for lack of a better word) or the right edge, one of which doesn't close properly. I'll admit slimmer cases are nicer but it doesn't match the other 12 cases, and the clasp isn't tight enough to click in on one of the cases - perhaps it was loosened by all the twisting I had to do to remove the stupid security tags it had dispute being purchased online.

My question(s) is/are,
  • Which cases are more common in the US? It seems the 14mm case (with no clasp) is more common here.
  • Is the type of case dependant on the studio or something?
  • Is anyone else annoyed by this or am I just being picky?

Thanks.

Edit: P.S. I love that all of the cases are blue, I hope they keep that up even when HD DVD is gone. it looks so neat.
