This is just a warning that Return of the Joker is DVD only, the same censored DVD (despite saying uncensored on the back) that has been on sale for years and is just the Funko with the discs inside a single case and not the digibook packaging.

Australia always gets F'ed over. That's why I got the American version of Batman Beyond Blu-ray box set and I also got the American 4k of Batman 89-97 because Australia also got shafted with only including the 10 year old Blu-rays instead of the remastered ones that were included with other worldwide releases.

I can understand why Return of the Joker is DVD-only - recycling old stock and not needing to pay the OFLC to classify a Blu-ray, plus then produce it - and I can't say it bothers me much, given I already have the Blu and can just pop it across. Aussie version is cheaper, and I'd prefer to have a regular Blu-ray case with the discs inside.

Its probably coz roadshow was too cheap and lazy to resubmit the uncut return of the joker. Theyre really not helping their cause of no piracy and buy "local" bs.

I have despised Roadshow for many years. I remember when they released those DC animated shows on DVD a few years ago (Superman TAS, Justice League Unlimited) the DVD said the discs were coded PAL yet they were NTSC. When I complained about it, they said "Just because it states it on the packaging, doesn't necessarily mean the product must have it."
That is a clear breach of Consumer Law. |

All my emails to Roadshow, and even complaint letters, went ignored. For that DC inquiry, it was sent via Technicolor. When I got the response back, even Technicolor didn't seem to care what Roadshow had done.
When I reported it to Consumer Affairs, I got the impression of "We'll look into it if we want." |

For those that hate the packaging, there is a standard non-JB Exclusive version releasing next week. I took my other one back and got a refund. I'd rather have a set that matches The Animated Series and doesn't take up a truckload of shelf space because of a Pop figure.
