Default Arrow Video vs. Criterion packaging

I'm a big fan of both Arrow Video and Criterion, as both companies continue to put out some of my favorite movies. However, as time goes by I find myself enjoying the attention to detail Arrow puts into it's releases when it comes to packaging. My favorite Criterion release by far is Vampyr (1932) which puts together an amazing film with brilliant packaging including box and book. Meanwhile when it comes to Arrow I have a laundry list of releases where I really enjoy the packaging/book including Ringu, Battles Without Honor and Humanity, Female Prisoner Scorpion, Donnie Darko and so on.

I realize this is purely subjective and that the movies themselves are the most important as I would take Hidden Fortress in a paper sleeve over most Arrow releases but when it comes to the aesthetics of the packaging do you have a preference? As much as I love both companies there is something about Arrow that I just dig

Not the best section for this. Better take it to the blu-ray section.

I'm not a huge fan of the thinner digipacks Criterion does sometimes, I find them to be fairly fragile and it's always a bit of a gamble when ordering those online. I wish they used something more sturdier, especially when it comes to bigger box sets, like Arrow and Eureka does. I think I find them quite equal if we are talking about booklets. And as far as aesthetics goes, it really depends.

Defintley Arrow. Not only superior packaging, but they release better movies as well.

I cannot stand digipack style releases. Criterion has been releasing too many of them as of late. The recent All About Eve release with the rubber hubs really takes the cake. Easy win for Arrow, and not just by default. The recent Limited Edition release of An American Werewolf in London looked fantastic. I also really liked the Sartana set.
