We'll see all of the new TVs for 2020 and some samples even beyond the 2020 model year.

Any members, mods or admins going to CES this year?

Also, I'm getting ready for my CES panel discussion "The Road Ahead for 8K UHD" Hope to have a nice surprise to announce at CES.

Please ask Panasonic when the blankity-blank they are going to give UB9000 owners the option to turn OFF the ridiculous and utterly stupid automatic shutdown (when on pause) after a measly 20 minutes.

I am so sick of it, I am actually considering selling my UB9000 and just go back to the UB900.

I think I already answered this question multiple times before. The answer is never. Unless Robert’s Panasonic Japan is different from mine.

Don't all Panasonic 4K players have this feature?

The 820 also has it unfortunately.

I never stop asking for the ability to disable or adjust the 20 minute shut off along with my few other wish list enhancements.

Sorry to report, but Panasonic told me no 2020 successor for the UB420, UB820 and UB9000.

It would be nice to hear if Yamaha announces new AVRs.
I need an Advantage but don't want to buy, then new ones are released days after, haha!

Yes would like to see a Sony 85" Z with BMD or MiniLed. Being it on I will buy.

NO MORE X-WIDE VIEW AT THE EXPENSE OF DEEP BLACKS AND CONTRAST ON SONY MODELS.

UHD Players are no longer in a annual model succession, usually at least 2 years interval dependent on the SoC in some manner where it’s hardware based processing/decoding has been improved as required to support evolving media playback.

I'd like to see some 80-85" 4k oleds. But my understanding is the current production stamps limit the cuts to 77" until 2021/2022. The cuts will then change from 77 to 75" and then 80/82/85" cuts can be made. (which is how cuts work for lcd currently)..

Hopefully we'll see some high end 4K 48" OLED's coming in.
I've just bought my first 4K TV but it's an LED/LCD. I would love an OLED for the better contrast, deep blacks, viewing angles and HDR performance but can't fit a 55" panel in the space I have. A 48" OLED would be perfect.

I’d like for 3D to be resurrected for one premium 4K TV with Dolby Vision/HDR.

If not, I will still need to track down the Sony 75” Z9D. It’s been hard to find one. I have to save up for it regardless but that’s something I would love to see.

Oh yes, definitely bring back 3D!!!

I would want nothing more than that. I was very impressed with the passive 3D on one of the 2016 LG OLEDs. So if by some miracle Sony decides to come up with a 3D enabled OLED next year, I would buy it just for that.

My Panasonic UB900 doesn't do it. At least, not after a measly 20 minutes.

And whatever Panasonic model I had before that (standard Blu-ray) didn't do it either. Nor the Panasonic model before that.
