Awesome! I love this film.

I had no idea MPI had released it on BD in the US.

I still have the DVD. Was it a 2 disc Anchor Bay in the UK? I can't remember

I love this movie. I saw it in the theatre back in the day. I own the crappy US Bluray, hoping this is a new transfer which eventually finds it way over here.

Love this movie. Hopefully they'll do one of those fancy chipboard boxes for it. Been needing an excuse to replace that generic Blu-ray

This site's review of the locked US disc awarded 4.5/5 for PQ. Is that score way off?

It seems quite higher than what such a pre-existing HD master should get.

About time this was released over here. I imported the U.S release around 2011, just before my multi-region player gave up the ghost.

Is Second Sight still releasing titles in regular Blu-ray cases? It seems everything they've put out in the last year or so has been a box set of some kind. I'd just really love to see a nice edition for Magic.

bit worried this is just going to be a straight port of the 2010 USA release.

They still do standard releases. The Invitation just came out in normal packaging.

There are quite a few comments on Second Sight's FB page asking for this to be bumped to a Ltd Ed, it would be nice to see it with the Goldsmith score and poster etc..

Have asked Second Sight via Messenger about the master, and was told it's an existing master being used. Hopefully it will be a limited edition with a nice slipcase, the existing extras and what you've suggested as extras.

I don't want a limited edition. I don't want to have to pay significantly more. I just want the film at a fair price. If I actually really wanted a soundtrack, I'd just buy it seperately. Edit: I also find it very difficult to get too excited about a cheap foldout poster reprint.

Pretty obvious that this is not a limited edition nor is it in the plans.

Pre-order price of just 13.41 on Amazon and then the image they release is of it in an amaray as opposed to a alipcase. Add in the extras that make no mention of typical LE additions.

Short of a change of course, this isn't going to be getting the slipcase treatment. Based on the master comment, I would also be surprised if it is not just a port of the US release.

Odd that they chose a film like Upgrade for LE treatment but a minor classic like Magic gets a recycled transfer in a regular Blu-ray. I mean, odd for a company that is trying to make a name for itself in the overcrowded boutique label market.
