Angel Eyes (2001) - Blu-ray Forum

Sony Pictures will be releasing to Blu-ray the Morgan Creek film Angel Eyes (2001) on January 28, 2020.

This will be a pressed MOD release.

This was a really good movie, I liked it. I think the acting and chemistry between Jennifer Lopez and Jim Caviezel was as good as it needed be, because their connection felt real enough under the circumstances. I think, if you like unusual movies, this might be a great addition to your collection. Lets just hope that the audio and video quality are as good as the film deserves.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie on Blu-ray as well. Good performances by Jennifer Lopez and Jim Caviezel. I hope the transfer really shines. I second your motion for a Blu-ray of the film Enough.

I'm really not liking that Sony is starting to cheap out on the transfers for these MOD catalog releases. Whole Nine Yards, Look Who's Talking, and now this movie have all had reportedly subpar transfers or even worse.

I watched this the other day at 150" diagonal. Don't let the review here scare you off. It's not in any way, shape or form the nightmare the review portrays it to be. It's a solid presentation. No regrets here. To each his own naturally.

I'm a bit disappointed with this release. This release is slightly window boxed which is indicative of the original two decade old master used for the DVD. The pixelization does exist on the release and the original Director audio commentary wasn't carried over from the original DVD.

I'm sure it's better than the original DVD, but still disappointed more effort didn't go into this release.

Given the botched transfer and lack of extras, is this even worth $20+ dollars? That price tag won’t go down anytime soon.
