Default USA "Dare Me"

OK, watched the first episode just now.

WOAH!

Obviously, I missed a development or three in what's acceptable when it comes to basic cable. This was a 10pm show on USA, and there were at least 9 instances of the F-word. There was also a couple sex scenes that certainly wouldn't make it into PG-13 movie. I mean, no nudity, but they were right on the border. But the language really caught me off guard. Not like it bothers me, not at all. I was just sorta shocked. It was practically like watching a Tarantino movie.

As to the show itself, it was pretty good. It was very dark and it's pretty clear that it's going to swim in some grim waters. I really liked the acting, and the characters came off as your typical, really f'ed up teenage girls.

Apparently the second episode is available now On-Demand. I'm probably going to check it out a little later tonight.

It sounds pretty good. I'll probably watch it. I need something to fill my Euphoria void until that returns.

A lot of the basic cable shows have been doing the f-word for a few years now. First time I remember hearing it was FX's The People Vs OJ Simpson.

I think The Purge is the only show I watch on USA, and they use it every once in a while.

Yeah, tell me what you think.

I like "Euphoria" too, at least the little I've seen of it. Then again, I really like Zendaya.

Heh. Shows how much I've been paying attention.

This might be the worst show in television history.

I gave it 4 episodes to see if it was going anywhere, but I'm officially out.

Absolutely adored this show and I was really excited to see where it was going to go in season 2. Marlo Kelly, Herizen Guardiola and Willa Fitzgerald were incredible in this and the dynamic was amazing.

So... it's heartbreaking to see that this got cancelled already Sick of getting so into new shows only for them to get cancelled after only 1 or 2 seasons. USA screwed up on this one. But it seems they don't really care about their scripted programming anyway aside from their long term shows (i.e. Mr. Robot which recently ended). Won't be surprised if Briarpatch gets axed too.

It's doing pretty well on Netflix. I could see a situation where they pick it up for another season. If that happens I'll definitely check it out. Just didn't want to since it was cancelled.
