I would kill to see his other works restored and released as well. Especially since Mondo-Vision has apparently gone belly up.

I don't think so. I asked Le Chat qui Fume on facebook when we can expect it to be released. They replied, "November 2020".

There seem to be some discrepancies on the specs:
The Collector's Box is currently listed as having English subtitles EDIT: NO ENGLISH SUBS; LISTS ENGLISH ONLY WHEN AUTOTRANSLATED BY GOOGLE; FRENCH LANGUAGE SITE SAYS FRENCH SUBS FOR FILM, while the regular edition is currently listed as having French subtitles.
Many of the extras are not subtitled, but it is unclear which features are in English or French.
The text on the cover of the 'oral history' is clearly in French, so it's probably safe to assume the whole book is in French?

The website says that Pre-Orders for the Collector's Box end on January 15th.

I recall reading elsewhere that this company has had forced French subs on previous releases.
Would love to confirm this is not the case on this one. With no region coding on UHDs (right?), one would think English subtitles would be standard for international sales, even with a film that is nearly all in English...

I can 100% confirm there are NO forced subs of any kind on this release.

I picked up the 4K UHD single-disc release from Le Chat Qui Fume. There is no HDR encoding. Audio choices are either French or English, with original 1.0 mono or 2.0 stereo for either language. There is a commentary track in English, as well as an isolated track for music and effects. The only subtitle available is an optional French subtitle. No other language choice is offered, but the French subtitles can be turned off.

Does it have the bonus extras that were on the second BD? Zulawski interview, featurette, etc? Or just the film?

Is this really a UHD? I know Le Chat Qui Fume website lists this as OWNERSHIP [UHD] but the packaging does not say. Also amazon is listing this edition as a blu-ray not a 4K UHD. It's possible Le Chat Qui Fume are confusing a 4K restoration with a 4K UHD.

Edit: Le Chat Qui Fume response: Vous savez que nous avons restauré le film en 4K et que nous sommes l'éditeur UHD de ce titre ? :-)
Oui sur notre site il y a l'édition UHD seule. Elle n'est pas vendue sur Amazon.
