Does anyone have an answer to this? I've not been able to find anything online about it and it's always puzzled me.
Sometimes you can catch the blu-ray / 4k pre-order during a very small window after the disc is first announced. Then the pre-order option disappears. After the window closes, you're only able to purchase the disc (from Amazon) on, or days / weeks after, the release day. Does anyone know why? Why does this only affect the US store? Why does it only affect physical discs? The guys over at DigitalBits said it's probably "all down to the longtime feud over streaming" despite the fact that you can pre-order digital Disney / Fox titles. What exactly is this feud? |

Amazon and Disney have been feuding for years. Disney owned titles often only become available at Amazon on, or shortly after, release day as a result of this ongoing conflict.
Look at this list of search results; there are articles about this feud as far back as 2014. https://www.google.com/search?q=amaz...hrome&ie=UTF-8 Last edited by Vilya; 01-27-2020 at 10:51 PM. |
