movies anywhere and my itunes account...

hi all,

i have a question and hope one of you have done this so i can get a definite answer.

so i was able to get a movies anywhere account opened and migrated my vudu, google play and i think one other account to my MA account. the only one that obviously wouldn't connect was my itunes account since it's a canadian one.

my question is, if i change my address on my account to a US one (using a relatives address to keep it legit) and change the region to US will it keep all my movies i've collected over the years and move them as well or will i lose them ?

looking this up on google i'm getting varied answers. one says i can but i would have to re-download them so i should back them up to my PC before i change anything. another says nope, only apps that are available on both canada and US itunes i can re-download.

my goal is to have all my accounts combined into the MA as i use my youtube account to access them to watch and makes it easy to just use youtube to watch them.

has anyone in canada done this (whether or not you actually moved or not) and been successful.
