I know I am generalizing here but he probably needs to keep his adrenaline high from all those years he did stunts for.

I’m complaining. He’s one of the best action filmmakers right now. Hobbes and Shaw was our generation’s Last Action Hero.

Underrated big budget movie that flopped but went on to gain a cult following? I'm not sure I see the connection, Hobbs and Shaw is more like Tango and Cash.

More how both are the most ridiculous action comedies I’ve ever seen. It takes great skill to be as bat-crap crazy as Last Action Hero was. Tango and Cash was positively tame in comparison.
