Default Seattle: Pike's Public Market & Blu-ray Discs

While visiting Seattle this week, stopped by Pike's Public Market and was surprised to see a couple of blu-ray discs for sale in a place that offered tapes, vinyls, dvds and other collectible memorabilia. The small store is called Holy Cow Records, and it is located on the 3rd underground level of the shops and they were offering RE:Apocalypse and The Patriot for $14.99 each, used.

Funny thing is that my wife saw them first, so she grabbed the cell phone and said "hey, they got some used Blu-ray discs here, you might want to stop and check them out." I was going to snag both of them but I somewhat remembered that RE:A was not a very good movie, from seeing what many people here were saying about it. Also, I thought $15 for a used "Patriot" movie was too much. I know I can prob get it on a BOGO or reduced, but new, soon.

Knowing that the movies had made it into the tourist market made me realize that very soon BD will become ubiquituous and we'll start seeing them everywhere. But until then, it was awesome and exciting to bump into them even at a touristy place.
