I've been enjoying and testing our store demo 2020 CX series 4K HDR OLED TVs for a few weeks.

For 2020 LG added several interesting new user menu items to control how you want to set-up and use your OLED TV. Some are for convenience and others can enhance picture quality and performance when configured properly.

Here's a few pics:

Here's a pic of the highly anticipated "selectable Black Frame Insertion, aka, BFI, and LG adeptly calls it "OLED Motion Pro".

No one noticed the proprietary custom sound bar in my pic of LG's new GX Galery edition?

Yes, again you heard and saw it first on Blu-ray.com.

Actually, I did, but since I am interested in the 48” and not interested in a sound bar, I pretty much just ignored it.

Also, I get distracted by the Gallery mode. Don’t get me wrong, I think those paintings look fantastic, but no video enthusiast is going to shorten the life of his TV, displaying them for long hours. I believe that it is a feature that perhaps a husband can use to help convince his wife to spend the money for the new OLED though.

Do the LG 2020 OLED TVs have the uniformity panel control feature like the high-end Panasonic / Sony TVs?

Just when you think the day is coming to a close my emails, voice messages and PMs light up with many enthusiasts asking me to confirm some misunderstanding and outright mistakes about LG's GX Gallery edition OLED TV. Here's the two latest mistakes about this beautifully designed TV that has been found on other forums and LG's website remarks.

First is that the TV has a gap between the wall and the back of the TV. Nothing can be further from the truth. The GX Gallery series was perfectly designed to be flush to the wall. It comes with the built-in no gap wall mount and when properly installed the TV literally touches the wall with no gap. Check out the pics in my post above to see the TV is wall mounted with no gap. I have more pics on my website that show the GX side view that also show the TV sitting perfectly flush to the wall.

Here's the second most popular question I've been inundated with in the past hour. LG's owners manual incorrectly says they recommended a solid concrete wall to mount the GX and further says do not mount the TV into wood studs. This is a mistake and I've already informed the proper folks at LG so they will take appropriate action to correct this.

I've replied to all of the fine folks that reached out to me and I'm happy to be the reliable source to the correct these misunderstandings and mistakes. Here's my open message to all those who have emailed, called and PM'd me. Join Blu-ray.com so you will stop listening to those who do not know these new products and be among the well informed and have helpful and constructive discussions and leave the misguided folks to themselves.

I don't have a 4K TV yet, but yesterday I was researching into the LG CX and loving what I saw (except still need that PCM multichannel eARC update for gaming consoles). The a9 Gen3 chip is supposedly even better at upscaling. I wonder how DVDs and blu-rays look on a UHD player connected to the system lol.

Other than our normal business, today's unusual emails and phone calls were to ask me about the beautiful GX soundbar that I photographed in my earlier post, #3 above. These questions came from folks from another forum. I'm surprised to hear an a/v enthusiasts forum would not have an authorized dealer to answer these questions.

My reply to these fine folks was to come to any of the forums I am a member of to find the answers.

LG's custom designed GX series soundbar will perfectly match the 65GX and our first allocation is scheduled to arrive in July 2020. It's 56.9" wide perfectly matching the width of the 65GX and can be mounted butt up to the 65GX with no gap. I'll provide more spec and pricing info as the release gets closer.

Ok, this type of advertising must work, or at least the add company convinced some one it does. The viewer is turned sideways and there is a light between her and the TV.

Guess you figured out what triggers me.

LG 2020 55" and 65" CX and GX series arrived! We are shipping all of our pre-orders and have inventory available for any new orders.

LG also gave us the first allocation of 77" 8K ZX series OLED TVs that are scheduled to arrive the week of May 25th or likely sooner.

Thanks for the information, Robert.

My wife has given me the go ahead to upgrade to a 48” CX for our bedroom. I’m beyond excited. I tried to convince her that a 55” C9 or A8G would fit just fine, since they are on close out pricing and are available right now, but that was a no go. We measured and a 55” is just to big for our bedroom space, but the 48” is a perfect fit on our articulating wall mount space. It will be a huge upgrade from the 43” Vizio 4K V series in the bedroom right now.

Now, I’m just hoping all retailers get a decent allotment of 48” CX, in early June.

He has with what you quoted.
Nobody likes being negative about a retail partner, rather attack me in his thinly disguised sales thread.
